JavaUpgrader.com
JavaUpgrader.com is an unreliable website that may display a fake pop-up notification 'Free Java Security Update (Required)' on a computer system while PC users are browsing the Web. The fake pop-up notification on JavaUpgrader.com may be displayed by adware that may spread and access the computer system as an extra program while PC users are downloading free software from questionable download websites. The bogus pop-up warning message shown on JavaUpgrader.com may state that the computer user's Java version is out of date, and he needs to get some critical security update as soon as possible. The alert of JavaUpgrader.com may also provide the computer user with instruction on why is it important to upgrade to the latest version of Java. In reality, the warning message from JavaUpgrader.com is not connected with the legitimate computer user's Java program. The bogus Java alert from JavaUpgrader.com was made to possibly distribute adware and other potentially unwanted programs (PUPs). When the computer user clicks the 'Free Java Download' button of JavaUpgrader.com pop-up warning message thinking that he will get an update, he may, in fact, agree to install a potentially unwanted program or adware.
