The Internet Speed Pilot program is packed as an add-on for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Web surfers that are interested in installing a version of Internet Speed Pilot for Internet Explorer will not find one. The Internet Speed Pilot add-on is designed to change the new tab page layout in Google Chrome and load Search.internetspeedpilot.com. The version of Internet Speed Pilot for Mozilla Firefox comes with two options, and users can choose if they want Search.internetspeedpilot.com as their primary search provider and new tab page. Web surfers will find links to fcc.gov, broadbandchoices.co.uk, and custom-made widgets that they may find somewhat useful.
Internet Speed Pilot is deemed as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that is supported by advertisers. The Internet Speed Pilot add-on is created and managed by AdKnowledge Inc., and users may find more than a few similarities with another product of them — Internet Speed Checker. Both applications need access to data like your apps, extensions, and themes to allow behavioral marketing on Search.internetspeedpilot.com. The services offered by Internet Speed Pilot may not be worth the exposure to third parties and you may wish to consider removing the app. You can uninstall the Internet Speed Pilot app by navigating to the Add-ons Manager and clicking the 'Remove' button. However, tracking cookies and offline data left from Internet Speed Pilot may not be removed automatically. Experts suggest a reliable anti-spyware instrument to clean residual files.
