GlobeGator is an ad-supported application developed and distributed by Star Globe LLC. The application can be downloaded from the official website found at globegator.com, but this isn't the only way that this application can find its way into your computer. Anonymous reports on the web show that GlobeGator may distribute via bundled software. The primary purpose of GlobeGator is to enhance web browser security by tracking the user's activities and keeping them away from potentially dangerous or harmful websites. We can't deny that this feature can be indeed very helpful, but GlobeGator is an ad-supported application and as such, it may display a broad range of advertisements during your everyday browsing activities. According to the terms of use found on the GlobeGator website, the application may inject in-text ads, banner ads, text ads, interstitial ads, pop-ups, search redirects, and other types of ads that will certainly have an adverse impact on browsing experience. Ad-supported applications may prove to be useful to some users, but in most situations, their negatives outweigh their positives. This seems to be the exact case with GlobeGator as the excess number of ads will certainly disturb most users, especially when they get such simple features in return.
