FormalPolice.org

FormalPolice.org is a suspicious and possibly hazardous website, which may be used to distribute ransomware such as Mandiant U.S.A Cyber Security Ransomware and Ministerul Afacerilor Interne Ransomware. FormalPolice.org may be related to security threats such as browser hijackers, and Trojans that may result in constant browser diversions to FormalPolice.org. Malware threats such as ransomlock or 'Police' Trojans lock a PC and popular Web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, shows a frightening police warning message and then encourages the target PC user to pay a so-called ransom to unlock the computer. The ransomlock Trojan declares that the computer user committed cybercrime and blames him for the alleged breach of certain laws. FormalPolice.org may include a damaging JavaScript that does not enable the computer user to close the browser window or visit another website.
