Disk Optimizer Description

Disk Optimizer (DiskOptimizer) as its name indicates, is a system defragmenter and optimizing tool. However this is not a normal optimizing tool; this one was especially created by criminals to swindle gullible users. Disk Optimizer can enter a system via Trojans or malicious websites. When inside, Disk Optimizer will run a system scan which will appear to scan the hard drive and memory before producing fabricated results. Once the scan is done Disk Optimizer will display the following message “11 Errors detected! Defragmentation is required”.

Disk Optimizer may also prevent a victim from accessing applications including Registry Editor and Task Manager. A victim may also experience frequent redirects to malicious websites promoting Disk Optimizer or the victim will be blocked from other security websites. Do not allow Disk Optimizer to scare you into purchasing its non-existent full version. Do not believe any of the scan or error reports generated by this rogue, instead use a recognized rogueware removal tool to extinguish Disk Optimizer from your PC.
