Browser Extension is an adware threat that may create and display random pop-up ads, discount coupons, offers and deals in well-known online shopping websites and social networking websites. Browser Extension may add an adware supported add-on, plug-in or browser extension for Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome Web browsers that may show pop-up, pop-under, banner, search, and in-text link interstitial ads. Browser Extension may propagate and install itself onto the PC as an optional tool throughout the installation of possibly unprotected free program downloads. Browser Extension may be embedded in the Web browser when the computer user installs freeware that may have added into their installation Browser Extension. When the PC user installs free applications on the computer system, he may also install Browser Extension. Browser Extension may trace the computer user's online browsing routine and collect surfing details that may later be used with the goal of delivering targeted ads.
