The Brality Chrome Extension is another fake search enhancer that is promoted via the 'Add Extension' Pop-Ups and updates for Adobe Flash and Java that come from unofficial sources. The Brality Chrome Extension can be categorized as an adware and a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP). The Brality app is not unsafe necessarily, but it is observed to perform browser redirects, load search results from third-party sources and hijack the user's search settings. Users have complained that their Google Chrome browser performs redirects via hxxp://brality.com/?q=[search_term] whenever they type in the Omnibox. Also, there are more than the usual number of sponsored search results on Google.com. The Brality Chrome Extension is recorded to communicate with remote ad servers and load search results from hxxp://brality.com/?q=[search_term] based on the user's keyboard input. The Brality Chrome Extension does not use encrypted connections to transmit data, and PC users may be exposed to Man-in-the-Middle attacks.
The Brality Chrome Extension is not a product that is likely to enhance your online experience. The creators of the Brality Chrome Extension may use the app to collect information such as your browsing history and recent downloads.
