The Bflix Toolbar, which also goes by the name of TheBflix, is a toolbar that has been associated with various computer problems. While the Bflix Toolbar is marketed as a legitimate tool that can help computer users navigate the web more effectively and manage their media files easily from their browser, Bflix Toolbar behaves in ways that are usually associated with unwanted software.
Problems Associated with the Bflix Toolbar
Internet users, who’ve complained via the Web, have claimed that the Bflix Toolbar severely hinders their ability to browse the web. This toolbar will often block websites and cause the web browser to display error messages instead. The Bflix Toolbar will also often be associated with a browser hijacker and will often be installed in a hidden file system within the infected computer system, making it even more difficult to remove. Internet Explorer is particularly vulnerable to the browser hijackers associated with the Bflix Toolbar and a common error message that has been associated with this threat reads:
'Internet Explorer restricted this web page from running scripts or ActiveX controls'.
A web browser with the Bflix Toolbar will often display several symptoms, which can make it very difficult to browse the web normally. Some common problems associated with the presence of the Bflix Toolbar on a computer include the following:
- It is common for the web browser settings (such as the web browser's homepage or security preferences) to be altered by the Bflix Toolbar.
