Worm:Win32/Skypii.A is a worm that circulates through Skype Instant Messenger or Windows Live Messenger by sending harmful links to all instant messenger (IM) contacts. While being installed on the compromised PC, Worm:Win32/Skypii.A makes system modifications by downloading malevolent files. Worm:Win32/Skypii.A shows messages in numerous languages on the screen of the targeted computer. Worm:Win32/Skypii.A is usually distributed to the corrupted PC by other malware infections. Worm:Win32/Skypii.A sends a message to all contacts when the victim is logged in to Skype or Windows Live Messenger that involves a link rerouting the target computer user to a download of Worm:Win32/Skypii.A. The message shown by Worm:Win32/Skypii.A is changed depending on the attacked computer user's current location and locale. The message Worm:Win32/Skypii.A sends to IM contacts carries a link, that, if clicked by the victimized PC user, will drop a copy of Worm:Win32/Skypii.A. Worm:Win32/Skypii.A distributes other malware threats to the affected PC.
