Worm:Win32/Morto.A is a worm, which infiltrates into vulnerable PCs and later on serves as a host for other malware infections. Worm:Win32/Morto!dat typically infects local network PCs. Worm:Win32/Morto!dat cracks weak passwords and accounts to overtake the machine. Once installed on the targeted computer system, Worm:Win32/Morto!dat creates a .dll file that Windows detects as a security threat, but as its legitimate .dll file. Therefore, the malicious file is executed automatically every time when the PC system is started. Worm:Win32/Morto!dat then attempts to obtain full remote access and control to the memory of subnet computers by trying to crack their passwords. Worm:Win32/Morto!dat also communicates with a remote attacker to get commands and is, therefore, regularly updated.
