Worm:VBS/Jenxcus.K is a visual basic script worm that can spread to a PC by using numerous methods. Worm:VBS/Jenxcus.K can circulate via infected links of social networking websites and spam emails that include harmful attachments. Worm:VBS/Jenxcus.K can propagate and enter the PC with the help of Trojans. Worm:VBS/Jenxcus.K can also be distributed through USB removable drives, floppy disks, and unsafe network connection. When installed on the computer, Worm:VBS/Jenxcus.K replicates itself and modifies the Windows Registry so that it can load automatically whenever the PC user boots up Windows. Worm:VBS/Jenxcus.K also creates additional registry entries so that it can load automatically the malevolent code after the PC user logs on to the computer. When executed on the computer system, Worm:VBS/Jenxcus.K gather sensitive details about the computer such as disk volume serial number, user name, computer name, installed OS and applications and security tools, and the victimized PC user and transmits them to remote cybercrooks. When this information is received and analyzed, cybercrooks respond and instruct Worm:VBS/Jenxcus.K to execute infectious actions such as download and install other security threats, monitor the PC, update itself and delete the infection by itself.
