Win32:Sirefef-AOO Description

Win32:Sirefef-AOO is a Trojan with the Sirefef rootkit functionalities. Win32:Sirefef-AOO conceals itself on the victimized PC so that it could not be detected and removed by security programs. Win32:Sirefef-AOO injects a malicious code into genuine Windows processes so that it may not seem to be as harmful. Win32:Sirefef-AOO enables cybercriminals to obtain full remote access and control over the compromised machine. Win32:Sirefef-AOO gathers confidential information and credentials such as user names and passwords, and transfers them to a remote server. Win32:Sirefef-AOO enters the vulnerable computer without the victim’s awareness and operates stealthily on the infected computer system. Win32:Sirefef-AOO also downloads malevolent files and makes modifications to the Windows Registry so that it can load automatically every time you start Windows.
