VirusRanger Image

VirusRanger is a rogue anti-spyware program that hits a computer by way of various Trojans. Once active, VirusRanger bombards the infected system with numerous pop-up ads and system notifications warning the user of a supposed infection. This is, of course, untrue, but these scare tactics often work in persuading a user to download and install a trial version of VirusRanger that performs a false system scan, reporting an assortment of fake threats. These threats can supposedly only be removed with the full version of Virus Ranger, a fraudulent spyware remover that does absolutely nothing for your computer.
