TROJ_TWEBOT.STB is a Trojan that requires the existence of specific files in order to run effectively. TROJ_TWEBOT.STB can be obtained when browsing malicious websites and via drive-by downloads. TROJ_TWEBOT.STB is utilized by a file called TwitterNET Builder.exe. This file is used to create a Twitter bot server. The generated file, Twitternet.exe is also detected as TROJ_TWEBOT.STB. Once the malicious server is running inside an infected PC, it will connect to the target Twitter page and read the posted Tweets of the attacker. The Tweets can be posted by an attacker to command harmful Botnets.
