Troj/SwfExp-BN is a Trojan that is a component of a spam malware campaign pertaining to a new Pope. Troj/SwfExp-BN circulates via unsolicited email messages that fake the breaking news stories from CNN and BBC. The misleading email message involves a breaking news notice from CNN, which is concentrated on arresting news stories about the new Pope. The subject of a spam email can be either 'Opinion: New Pope Sued For Not Wearing Seat Belt In Popemobile ... - CNN.com' or 'Opinion: New Pope, Vatican officials sued over alleged sexual abuse! ... - CNN.com'. The bogus email message that disperses Troj/SwfExp-BN attracts victims into opening an email and clicking on the links embedded into the email message. If a victimized recipient clicks on the links of any of falsified emails, he/she is taken to websites that include an obfuscated code that aims at contaminating computer systems using the Blackhole exploit kit. The PDF Blackhole component used in this malware attack is identified as Troj/SwfExp-BN.
