TROJ_PIDIEF.SML is a Trojan that may come bundled with other malware or it can be unknowingly downloaded from malicious websites. TROJ_PIDIEF.SML comes as a specially crafted PDF file which has the ability to exploit the CVE-2009-1492 vulnerability in Adobe Reader and Acrobat versions 9.1 or earlier. Once inside a system, TROJ_PIDIEF.SML will execute malware downloaded from a remote URL.
