Trojan:Win32/Medfos.B is a Trojan which is linked to browser hijackers and affects both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox web browsers. Trojan:Win32/Medfos.B can modify the infected Internet user's browsing practice by rerouting him/her to insecure websites designed by hackers to make a profit on an increased website traffic. In Mozilla Firefox, Trojan:Win32/Medfos.B installs a 'Translate This! 2.0' toolbar, which has to be uninstalled together with the malware threat itself. Uninstall Trojan:Win32/Medfos.B immediately after detection to block annoying hits to malicious websites.
