Trojan.Mebromi
Trojan.Mebromi is a mischievous Trojan that infects the Basic Input and Output Settings (BIOS) and the Master Boot Record (MBR). Trojan.Mebromi tries to hide its existence on the affected computer system and avoid detection of security software. When Trojan.Mebromi is executed, it drops certain system file, which is a tool that is used to check the status of the BIOS. If it is an Award BIOS and it has not been affected, Trojan.Mebromi creates and executes another system file, which infects the BIOS. Then, Trojan.Mebromi corrupts the Master Boot Record (MBR). If the tool finds out that the PC is not running an Award BIOS, it does not corrupt the BIOS and only affects the MBR. Trojan.Mebromi will also record your confidential information and transmit it to remote servers. Trojan.Mebromi will slow down your PC and result in sudden and repeated system crashes. Trojan.Mebromi will also display numerous pop-up warning messages. It strongly recommended to remove Trojan.Mebromi as soon as possible.
