By ZulaZuza in Trojans

Trojan:JS/BlacoleRef.CW is a Trojan that is used by cybercrooks to spread an obfuscated JavaScript added to vulnerable websites. Trojan:JS/BlacoleRef.CW is made to load a hidden IFrame that loads behind the computer owner's Internet browser, diverting it to an exploit server known as 'Blackhole'. When activating any links within IFrames while viewing online content on dangerous websites, computer users unknowingly make their PCs corrupted by Trojan:JS/BlacoleRef.CW. An attacked website may permit a cybercrook to successfully add a client-side script, which then starts when a PC owner visits the hacked website. Payload of Trojan:JS/BlacoleRef.CW may vary, based on what the reference host brings at the time of hijack. The combination of obfuscated JavaScript within a hidden IFrame referencing a harmful host, and the harmful host itself, which is responsible for dynamically generated content aimed at exploiting known and 'zero day' vulnerabilities on the infected machine, are monitored and could be changed by a cybercriminal at any time permitting to be highly adaptable to the attacker's needs.
