System Defence is a rogue antispyware program. This means that System Defence is designed to convince its victims to purchase a copy of itself, even if System Defence is a completely useless and even a harmful program. To do this, System Defence alarms its victim with constant fake security alerts and causes performance problems on the infected computer system deliberately. According to ESG security researchers, System Defence is nothing more than a well-known computer scam. Its associated website, system-defence.com, is designed to promote System Defence aggressively, forcing users to download System Defence with the use of malware tactics. System Defence is little more than a collection of harmful scripts and dangerous Trojans. It is for this reason that ESG malware analysts recommend removing System Defence with a reliable, genuine anti-malware program. System Defence does not attack alone, and its presence on your computer guarantees that you have also become infected with a variety of Trojans and malware threats.
System Defence's Malicious Associated Website
System Defence is associated with System-defence.com, a website that has been established for the sale and distribution of System Defence. To distribute System Defence, this malicious website resorts to a variety of malware tactics and the principal among these are the use of dangerous browser hijackers. A computer system infected with a browser hijacker will end up visiting System Defence's website repeatedly. Since System Defence's website also displays alarming pop-up windows and misleading advertisements, an inexperienced computer user may mistake these tactics for a legitimate notice to download and install System Defence. ESG security researchers strongly recommend against this idea because rather than defend your computer system, System Defence will actually harm it.
The System Defence Scam
System Defence uses a scam that has been around for generations, well before the Internet. Rogue security programs like System Defence are simply a computer version of this very same scam. It is simple; System Defence pretends to be a real security program which advertises that System Defence can stop dangerous malware from infecting your computer system. However, System Defence wants you to believe that your PC has a huge amount of problems so that you will then purchase its services. A non-computer equivalent of this scam has been known to occur among fraudulent car mechanics. When fixing your car on a minor issue, they will often create the illusion of another, more dangerous problem, claiming that they can fix it as long as you purchase their services. Do not become a victim; System Defence can be easily removed with a strong, reliable, anti-malware program.
