Spy Alert is an adware program, which is advertised as an application able to find cookies on a variety of websites. While Spy Alert may occur as a valuable software product, mostly this application enters the compromised PC without asking the victimized computer user's authorization and traces browsing activity of the affected computer user. Spy Alert makes a number of potentially unwanted modifications on the targeted PC that result in delivery of disturbing pop-up ads and diversions of the hijacked Internet browser to doubtful websites. Spy Alert embeds its own add-on in all hacked Internet browsers that are installed on the vulnerable computer system. Spy Alert is developed by Long Mile Solutions LLC and is pushed via the website of the company. However, Spy Alert can also access the infected computer packed with other software products. Commonly, Spy Alert penetrates into the victimized PC together with freeware/shareware programs, which are usually packed with such potentially unwanted programs. When striving to block infiltration of Spy Alert, PC users should cease using freeware/shareware programs or download them only after unchecking unfamiliar entries that are illustrated in the list of the components. Spy Alert traces the victim's browsing habits. Spy Alert enables scammers to grab information about the infected computer's IP address, OS, Internet browser and similar personal data. Spy Alert displays disturbing pop-up advertisements that are filled with unfamiliar links rerouting web users to tricky websites.
