Searchou

Searchou is a browser hijacker, which initiates its annoying activities when a computer user uses the Internet. Searchou forces victims visit dubious websites by hijacking Internet browsers and substituting the default search engine and other settings on the compromised PC. Searchou may be used to trace the affected PC user's surfing habits. After getting more information about the target Internet user's interests, Searchou illustrates associated search results, sponsored links and pop-up ads. The main symptom, indicating that the PC is affected by Searchou, is recurrent diversions to Searchou.com and Google.com/webhp. Any of these websites may be set by Searchou as the homepage or default search engine of the compromised Internet browser.
