PWS:HTML/Phish.EB is a password-stealing Trojan that circulates via an infected website, known as a phishing page. The phishing page, which encompasses PWS:HTML/Phish.EB, is an HTML page that conceals itself as a legal Lloyds TSB bank website. The phishing page is usually added to a spam email message, which tricks the recipient into clicking and opening it. PWS:HTML/Phish.EB aims at stealing personal information and banking-related data from affected computer users to perform an online scam. The fake email, which is used to distribute PWS:HTML/Phish.EB, shows the certain page asking the victims to fill in online banking or credit card details, and then sends that information to a remote attacker. The bogus email may use layouts, logos and image that have been stolen by cybercriminals from an authentic Lloyds TSB website.
