PECompact Description

PECompact is a malicious Trojan which infects your computer with the help of fake codecs that pretend to be free video codecs, often found on pornographic websites. If you download free video codecs from questionable websites, it is highly probable that they will be infected with dangerous Trojan programs. Once PECompact is active, you will be bombarded with fake warning messages which claim the PC is infected. Once you click on this fake alert message, you will be directed to a corrupt website where you are persuaded to buy a rogue anti-spyware program, which in reality does not remove any spyware. Do not fall for this trickery and have PECompact removed using a reliable anti-spyware product.
