  3. Finally, the MyHoome Virus can also be classified as spyware because the MyHoome Virus may compromise the victim's security. PC security analysts have noted that the MyHoome Virus may gather information about the affected Web browser's settings and spy on the affected computer user's online activity. Then the MyHoome Virus relays this data to a third party, using it for market research, to display additional advertisements or to carry out criminal acts and scams such as identity theft or credit card fraud.

Fortunately, PUPs like the MyHoome Virus may be uninstalled using normal software removal methods. However, to prevent the MyHoome Virus from reinstalling itself, security researchers recommend that computer users scan their computer with a reliable security program.
