I-Worm.Chir.B
I-Worm.Chir.B is a Windows-based worm that circulates through peer-to-peer and shared networks or comes bundled with downloaded files. I-Worm.Chir.B can also propagate via spam emails. Once installed on a compromised PC I-Worm.Chir.B retrieves the email addresses stored in the email address directory. When completed, I-Worm.Chir.B will add its malicious code to email messages it creates automatically. This method helps I-Worm.Chir.B to distribute itself to other PCs and contaminate them. I-Worm.Chir.B is difficult to detect and remove from the infected computer because it conceals itself running in the system background.
