Fleetcom.space is another deceptive page that was created for the sole purpose of proliferating a popular browser-based tactic. There are countless con sites of this type on the Internet and landing on one of them from time to time is becoming an expected occurrence. However, if you notice that pages similar to Fleetcom.space are starting to appear far too frequently, then you may have a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) lurking on your system, which is causing the redirects.
When users open the Fleetcom.space page they may be presented with one of several misleading scenarios that all try to convince them into clicking the Allow button ultimately. In most cases, the con page will pretend to be doing a CAPTCHA check but other variations, such as stating that a file is ready for download or a video will become accessible, also are common schemes. The messages that users may see could be a variation of:
'Press Allow to verify that you are not a robot'
'Click Allow to watch the video'
'Download is ready.'
Upon clicking the button, users would be granting broad browser permissions to the deceiving site unknowingly. Fleetcom.space will then start abusing its newly acquired powers to start running an intrusive ad campaign. The advertisements themselves should be approached with caution, as they are more than likely going to employ similar clickbait techniques. The advertisements generated by the site may continue to appear even if the affected browser has been closed completely.
Luckily, it shouldn't be too difficult to stop Fleetcom.space from interfering with your browsing experience. Just navigate to the 'Permissions' or 'Notifications' menu, depending on your browser, and revoke all permissions that have been granted to the site.
