Computeradz.com is a Web address associated with the actions of an intrusive browser hijacker and PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program). Users typically allow such annoying applications on their systems as part of shady software bundles or outright fake installers/updates. It should be noted that PUPs often possess adware, browser hijacker, and even data-collection capabilities.
As such, users can experience unwanted redirects, have their browsers open unfamiliar addresses set as the new homepage, or encounter numerous dubious advertisements. The displayed advertisements could take the form of pop-ups, banners, in-text links and more. In addition, they could contain misleading, clickbait, or other deceiving messages to trick users into following the con artists' instructions.
For example, pop-ups generated by Computeradz.com claim that the user's computer has been damaged. According to the message, users will need to click on the displayed button if they want to get rid of the non-existent threat. To appear more urgent and serious, the fake pop-up will claim to be a 'Critical Virus Alert!'
As noted earlier, PUPs also could be equipped with data-tracking functions. While present on the device, these applications could spy on users' browsing activities and harvest device details, such as IP address, geolocation, device type, browser type, OS version and more.
