Another misleading website that tries to convince credible computer users to subscribe to its bogus notifications was uncovered by security experts. The site is named Compathered.xyz and its developers need to obtain the users' permission to display its notifications that, in reality, are nothing more than sponsored advertisements that if clicked. will cause the generation of profits for them.
To trick computer users and make them click on an 'Allow' button, Compathered.xyz will display a message similar to:
'Download is ready. Click Allow to download your file.'
'Type Allow to verify that you are not a robot.'
'Click Allow to watch the video.'
If computer users believe in Compathered.xyz' tricks and click the 'Allow' button, they will give the bogus website permission to display numerous, obtrusive advertisements that will prevent them from having a normal browsing experience. Also, these unfiltered advertisements can carry all types of unwanted content, offer bogus services and products, redirect to unsafe Web locations and collect various data kinds, which Compathered.xyz may use to perform harmful actions or sell to third parties.
