The CoinUp Search browser extension is a low-quality add-on, and it is not recommended to install it on your system.
Users who install the CoinUp Search extension would have the settings of their system altered to set up the Coinup.org site as their default new tab page. The Coinup.org page started to be seen in May 2020, and it hosts a basic search engine that may not offer you the organic search results of your queries. Users are told that if they execute their searches via the Coinup.org website, they will generate virtual currency, which they can later exchange for gift cards for iTunes, Amazon, and other popular online services. However, generating coins via the site affiliated with the CoinUp Search extension is very slow, and you may not manage to collect enough currency to buy anything even if you use the Coinup.org website on a regular basis.
It is advisable to remove the CoinUp Search add-on from your Web browser as this tool is a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program), which severely overexaggerates its usefulness. You can remove the CoinUp Search extension manually or with the help of a reputable PC security program.
