Ceske Republik Police Ransomware
The Ceske Republik Police is the police force of the Czech Republic, a legitimate government organization that upholds the law in this European state. However, ESG malware analysts have received reports of a ransomware infection acknowledged as the Ceske Republik Police ransomware or Trojan infection. Like most similar fake police ransomware infections, the Ceske Republik Police ransomware infection blocks access to the infected computer, effectively holding it hostage in exchange for a ransom. If your computer is blocked due to a fake message from the Ceske Republik Police, ESG security researchers strongly advise removing this threat from your computer with a reliable anti-malware program and avoid paying the fine that this ransomware infection demands in its message.

The Ceske Republik Police Scam and other Fake Police Ransomware Infections
Fake police messages like the Ceske Republik Police ransomware are the most common kinds of ransomware infections (there are others, such as fake messages from Microsoft Windows or ransomware threats that encrypt your files). The scam is simple: the Ceske Republik Police ransomware Trojan takes over your computer blocking access to Windows components such as the Registry Editor, the Desktop and the Task Manager. As soon as the computer user logs into Windows, a full screen message with a threatening text supposedly from the Ceske Republik Police is displayed. This message will claim that the infected computer was involved in illegal practices, such as trafficking with child pornography or illegally distributing copyrighted material. The Ceske Republik Police ransomware infection will claim that a fine needs to be paid if the computer user wishes to regain access to the infected computer and goes as far as to threaten the victim with jail time unless the fine is paid within a set amount of time. ESG security researchers note that the Ceske Republik Police ransomware Trojan has no relationship with a legitimate police organization and that the Ceske Republik Police ransomware cannot deliver on its many threats.
The Ceske Republik Police Trojan Changes Depending on the Victim’s Location
The vast majority of the time, the Ceske Republik Police ransomware Trojan displays this particular message on computers with an IP address belonging to the Czech Republic. ESG security researchers have observed that this malware threat has the capacity to change its message and appearance depending on the victim's location. Therefore, if the infected computer has an IP belonging to Spain or France, for example, then this ransomware message would claim to have been sent by the Spanish or French police and be written entirely in Spanish or French.
