Bucksbee

Bucksbee is a browser hijacker, which is promoted via other free program downloads, and when installed on the affected computer system, it adds a toolbar, substitutes the browser homepage and default search engine with srp.freecause.com. Bucksbee Search will show pop-up advertisements and sponsored links in hacked search results, and may harvest search terms from compromised search queries. Bucksbee Search accesses the compromised PC after a computer user has installed another free program or add-on that had packed into their installer Bucksbee. For instance, when a PC user installs vPlay, he/she will also agrees to substitute the default browser home page and default search engine to srp.freecause.com, and installs the Bucksbee Toolbar. However, when a PC user uninstalls vPlay from the computer, the hijacked Internet browser's default settings will not be restored.
