Boot.Mebromi.B

Boot.Mebromi.B is a Trojan that infects the Basic Input and Output Settings (BIOS) and the Master Boot Record (MBR). Boot.Mebromi.B tries to disguise its appearance on the corrupted PC and evade detection of security tool. When Boot.Mebromi.B is executed, it drops a certain system file, which is a tool that is used to check the status of the BIOS. If it is an Award BIOS and it has not been affected, Boot.Mebromi.B creates and runs another system file, which infects the BIOS. Then, Boot.Mebromi.B corrupts the Master Boot Record (MBR). If the tool finds out that the PC is not running an Award BIOS, it does not corrupt the BIOS and only affects the MBR. Boot.Mebromi.B will slow down your PC and result in sudden and repeated system crashes. Boot.Mebromi.B may also display lots of pop-up notifications.
