EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecard
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:
Ranking: The ranking of a particular threat in EnigmaSoft’s Threat Database.
Severity Level: The determined severity level of an object, represented numerically, based on our risk modeling process and research, as explained in our Threat Assessment Criteria.
Infected Computers: The number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular threat detected on infected computers as reported by SpyHunter.

Malware researchers have received various reports of advertisements and other symptoms associated with BeepieBear, a low quality Web browser add-on. BeepieBear is an adware infection that fills the affected Web browser with advertisements and sponsored links that cause pop-up windows whenever a computer user visits unrelated websites belonging to various popular online retailers. BeepieBear claims that BeepieBear helps computer users find special deals, coupons and discounts when shopping online. However, security researchers have noted that the cost of any benefits from BeepieBear are bigger than the trouble of having to deal with the various symptoms and irritating advertisements that may be linked to BeepieBear. If BeepieBear is already installed on your Web browser, PC security researchers recommend its immediate removal with the help of a reliable security application. Since the main purpose of BeepieBear is to generate revenue at your expense, malware researchers recommend that computer users avoid installing BeepieBear.
The Main Function of BeepieBear is to Increase Web Traffic
The main goal of BeepieBear is to make money from advertisements. BeepieBear generates Web traffic for its associated websites, keeps track of your online activity for marketing research and annoys computer users with a constant stream of unwanted advertisements. Malware researchers do not consider that BeepieBear is threatening, like viruses or Trojans. Rather, BeepieBear is classified as a PUP or Potentially Unwanted Program. PUPs like BeepieBear will generally not be as difficult to remove or as destructive as viruses or Trojans, but their symptoms are often just as disruptive or irritating as many threats. Although BeepieBear is marketed as a way of accessing special deals online, the main purpose of BeepieBear is to trick inexperienced computer into being exposed to advertising content that may expose the affected computer to potentially unsafe online content.
If BeepieBear is installed on your computer, BeepieBear should be uninstalled at once. Since BeepieBear may have exposed your computer to more threatening online content, malware researchers recommend performing a full scan of the affected computer with a reliable security program. Changes made by BeepieBear to your Web browser settings may need to be undone manually.
