Adware:Win32/Addlyrics
Adware:Win32/AddLyrics is an adware application that shows pop-up ads associated with a target computer user's web browsing habits. While being installed, Adware:Win32/Addlyrics makes system modifications by downloading harmful files on the affected computer system. Adware:Win32/AddLyrics may be installed from the 'addlyrics.net' website, or be installed by offers in third-party software installers. Adware:Win32/Addlyrics installs itself as a Google Chrome extension, an Internet Explorer add-on, and a Mozilla Firefox plug-in by creating the harmful files. Adware:Win32/AddLyrics updates itself by creating a scheduled Windows task called 'YTLUpdater.exe' that executes daily. Adware:Win32/Addlyrics also creates an installation entry called 'AddLyrics' in the Programs and Features section of the Control Panel. Running this uninstaller uninstalls Adware:Win32/AddLyrics from the PC. While being installed, Adware:Win32/AddLyrics shows pop-up ads in the browser window, and also shows the lyrics to songs if the PC user views a song on 'YouTube'.
