Adware.TMAgentbar is a two-faced traitor presenting as a helpful tool, when, in fact, Adware.TMAgentbar really is malicious and meant to harm the system in which Adware.TMAgentbar is installed on. Adware tools often are included in the download of freeware as a courtesy of a third-party agreement to offset developmental costs. The true intent of adware tools is usually found in the End-User License Agreement (EULA), that many users don't take the time to read in its fullness.
Adware.TMAgentbar acts as a BHO, installing a toolbar that delivers a customized advertisement campaign. In addition to spying on the victim's surfing habits, Adware.TMAgentbar contains backdoor elements, which means Adware.TMAgentbar can download more malicious arbitrary files and components.
The presence of any malware threatens the security of private data and the stability of the operating system and hard drive. The best defense is removing malicious or suspicious programs, especially ones you did not load or invite inside yourself. Additionally, you need to keep a stealth anti-malware installed that runs a mix of scanning techniques to identify malicious programs before they explode.
