Trojan:DOS/Rovnix.D is a Trojan that spreads with the help of another Trojan from the same family of malware threats. Trojan:DOS/Rovnix.D proliferates via hijacked websites, spam emails, instant messaging programs, and social networking websites. Trojan:DOS/Rovnix.D can also circulate via infectious links and files downloaded from unknown sources. When Trojan:DOS/Rovnix.D accesses and takes over the infected computer, it downloads numerous malevolent files, by locating some of them on Windows System folder. Trojan:DOS/Rovnix.D also makes modifications to the Windows Registry. Trojan:DOS/Rovnix.D changes the registry entries to add some of them allowing it to launch automatically whenever the PC user boots up Windows. Trojan:DOS/Rovnix.D may also alter Windows NTFS file system to initiate another malware infections on every computer boot-up.
