List of Common Problems After Removal

If you are still experiencing problems after the removal of the infection, we will provide you with a list of the most common leftover problems below. If you problem is listed below, we cannot fix it automatically but we will give you instructions on how to fix it manually.

(1) Cannot Change your Internet Explorer Homepage

Open SpyHunter, go to the Network Sentry tab, under the Internet Explorer Homepage Protection, check the box that says “Activate Internet Explorer Homepage Protection”, check Use and type the webpage you would like to have as your homepage.

More Common SpyHunter Activation and Update Problems

When SpyHunter3 does not activate or update properly, it is often because of a problem on your computer.

Here are four of the most common problems SpyHunter customers encounter when activating or updating the program and ways to solve them.

  1. Username and/or password are mistyped.
  2. A firewall program, such as Norton Internet Security, McAfee, Zone Alarm, Avast! and others, prevents SpyHunter3 from accessing the Intenet.
  3. “Work Offline” is checked in the Internet Explorer or Firefox settings. Therefore, when you try to activate or update SpyHunter, you receive the error message “No Internet connection is available”.
  4. Spybot-S&D or a spyware infection has blocked SpyHunter and/or enigmasoftware.com domain.

Alternative way to Start your Computer on Safe Mode

Safe Mode is a special mode that you can start your computer on. It disables most of the features and drivers on your machine and allows the SpyHunter Software to remove parasites that would not be removed on Normal Mode.

You can start your computer in safe mode using 2 different methods, the F8 key method and System Configuration Utility.

Below, you will find how to start your system in Safe Mode using the System Configuration Utility.

ATTENTION: DO NOT USE THIS METHOD if your computer runs WINDOWS 2000 or NT.

To start the computer on safe mode:

1. You should print these instructions before continuing, save your open documents and close all the open applications as your system will shut down in step 4.
