The following new parasites have been added to SpyHunter:
Doctor Adware Pro Description
Doctor Adware Pro is a rogue anti-spyware program created to trick users with alerts and misleading scan results into purchasing the full version of the program. Doctor Adware Pro may be installed with the help of Trojans through browser security holes, or other dubious mechanisms. Doctor Adware Pro is designed to display deceptive warning messages stating that the user’s computer is infected to sell its product. Doctor Adware Pro may also run system scans that display bogus results.
ALOT Toolbar Description
ALOT Toolbar is a malevolent Trojan that embeds itself into your web browser as a Browser Helper Object (BHO). Once executed, ALOT Toolbar will create a search bar in Internet Explorer and redirect your browser to dangerous websites that promote and sell bogus anti-spyware programs. ALOT Toolbar will also attack your desktop with large amounts of extremely intrusive pop-up commercials. Immediate removal of ALOT Toolbar is strongly recommended, since it may not only interfere with your work flow, but also conduce to violation of your privacy and security.
ProAntispy Description
ProAntispy is a fraudulent anti-spyware application. ProAntispy may infect your machine with the help of various Trojans that have the ability to exploit security system vulnerabilities. Once inside your system, ProAntispy will perform a false scan that will result in fake warning messages, such as the following:
“Warning! Your PC is in danger of severe system security threats. Spyware may cause permanent damage to your computer. You need to register ProAntiSpy to secure your computer, continue? (Recommended).”
If you click on any of these messages, you will be redirected to www.proantispy.com and continuously offered to purchase the full version of ProAntispy in order to remove the threats it “detected”. ProAntispy cannot perform anti-spyware tasks and, therefore, should be removed from your system without any hesitation.
SpyDestroy Pro Description
SpyDestroy Pro is a malicious rogue anti-spyware program created to trick users into purchasing the full SpyDestroy Pro version. SpyDestroy Pro attempts to mislead users into believing that it is actually a legitimate anti-spyware program. SpyDestroy Pro may be downloaded and installed with the help of Trojans that may have infiltrated the user’s computer system through a browser security hole, or via other unconventional and unethical mechanisms. Once installed, SpyDestroy Pro will generate deceptive notifications of imaginary security and privacy risks to sell its product. SpyDestroy Pro may also generate system slowdown and instability. SpyDestroy Pro may be difficult to manually remove.
SpywarePro Description
SpywarePro is a clone of Spyware Sweeper Pro, a corrupt anti-spyware application. Trojan parasites are known to drop SpywarePro onto targeted computers through browser security gaps. Once installed, SpywarePro will perform a bogus scan of your computer system. The scan results will either show legitimate programs as threats or display parasites and their locations that do not exist. SpywarePro is designed by malicious hackers to profit from gullible computer users by trying to deceive them into purchasing the full version of SpywarePro. Immediate removal of SpywarePro is strongly recommended.
SpywareRemover Description
SpywareRemover is a rogue anti-spyware application created to trick computer users into purchasing the full SpywareRemover commercial version. SpywareRemover is usually downloaded by a Trojan, via computer system’s security breaches. SpywareRemover emulates a computer system scan and generates fake security reports and imaginary errors. These scare tactics are only used by SpywareRemover to sell its product. SpywareRemover may also generate system slowdown and instability. SpywareRemover may be difficult to manually remove.
SystemGuard Description
