Cannot Activate or Register SpyHunter3

***NOTE TO USERS: when you receive the confirmation email, you will have 2 sets of username and password. The first set, which is the one that your email is the password, must be used for download ONLY. You MUST use the second set of username and password to activate SpyHunter, which is the one that has your email as the username.

There are two basic problems that you can encounter when activating SpyHunter3.

  1. Username and specially Password mistyped.

  2. A Firewall program such as Norton Internet Security, McAfee, Zone Alarm, AVG and others that is preventing SpyHunter from accessing the Intenet.

Antivirus 2009 (or Antivirus2009) is a rogue anti-spyware program and is a clone of Antivirus 2008. Antivirus 2009 is usually installed by a Trojan called Zlob via a video codec installer found on adult websites. Antivirus 2009 uses bogus spyware scans to trick the user to purchase the full Antivirus 2009 version.

Antivirus 2009 may generate misleading warning alerts and popups in order to scare the user into believing there’s an infection in their computer. Once a user clicks on the fake warning alert, Antivirus 2009 will redirect the user to Antivirus 2009’s website (www.antivirus-2009.com), where the full version of the program is sold. Antivirus 2009 is not a solution to the threats it alleges to remove.

Antivirus 2009 is part of the clan of rogue anti-spyware programs that have the term “antivirus” included in their names. Vista Antivirus 2008, Ultimate Antivirus 2008, System Antivirus 2008 and Windows Antivirus 2008 are among the collection of “antivirus” named programs. Although their names and interface are slighlty different, they all follow the same methods of intection. Antivirus 2009 may also generate system slowdown, instability and may be difficult to remove manually.

Advanced Antivirus Description

Advanced Antivirus, AdvancedAntivirus, Advanced Antivirus 2008, AdvancedAntivirus 2008 or AdvancedAntivirus2008, is a rogue anti-spyware program known by the experts as “the worst threat of this year”, family of infamous Windows Antivirus 2008, Vista Antivirus 2008 and Ultimate Antivirus 2008.

Advanced Antivirus may have leaped into the user’s computer system through a Trojan, such as Zlob, or by using drive-by download methods without the user’s knowledge. Once Advanced Antivirus is installed, it will emulate a fake system scan and generate false threat reports in an attempt to trick the user into purchasing the full Advanced Antivirus commercial version. Advanced Antivirus has the ability to display fake warning notifications and a fake icon on the user’s system tray stating that the computer’s system is infected with spyware. Advanced Antivirus’s rogue messages may read: “Critical System Error”, “Your computer is infected”, “Trojan-Spy.win32@mx”, “Virus Alert”, and “Security Alert”. If the user is deceived and clicks on one of these messages, the user will be redirected to Advanced Antivirus’s website (www.aav2008.com), where Advanced Antivirus is advertised as a legit software. Advanced Antivirus promises to deliver a solution to your supposed threats, when in reality, Advanced Antivirus is just another scam created to steal money from credulous users. In addition, Advanced Antivirus may hijack user’s homepage, redirecting them to malicious websites.

Advanced Antivirus launches on every Windows start up and has the ability to recreate itself. Advanced Antivirus may be difficult to manually remove and it’s considered a threat to user’s personal and financial information.

Trojans Perform Malicious Functions During SystemDefender Installation

Tests conducted by our threat research team on several computer testbeds have revealed that during the installation process of SystemDefender a Trojan infection starts to perform malicious activities that include the execution of hidden files. SystemDefender is known as a rogue anti-spyware program that when installed it displays popups or messages stating that you have an infection.

Upon further investigation, we’ve detected that it wasn’t just one Trojan but many trojans that are known to be variations of Trojan.Downloader and Trojan Vundo. The Trojans perform several bad actions such as displaying a “Warning” message on your desktop background and not allowing you to open certain programs. These types of Trojan infections can be very detrimental to the operation of your computer.

Once installed, Vista Antivirus 2008 will simulate malware detections on the user’s computer system and generate fake spyware scan results in an attempt to trick the user into buying the full Vista Antivirus 2008 commercial version. Vista Antivirus 2008 may seem a trustworthy program, however, it’s just a scam to download and install additional adware and spyware and steal the user’s money. Vista Antivirus 2008 may also generate system slowdown and instability. Vista Antivirus 2008 program can be very difficult to remove manually, and will try to recreate itself.
