The SerfSearch binary may arrive on your machine as a toolbar embedded with a free application that most users install with the 'Typical' or 'Express' option. The SerfSearch app is classified by security researchers as a browser hijacker pointing users to SerfSearch.com that hosts a low-quality search engine. At SerfSearch.com users are presented with a single search bar, white background and a small 'Search' button colored in blue but search queries bring up only one page of results. That is because the main goal of the SerfSearch browser hijacker is to detect your search keywords and load numerous promotions from sponsors to earn affiliate revenue for its developers. The SerfSearch browser hijacker may modify your Windows Registry to obstruct you or programs from changing your default search provider and homepage across Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Mozilla Firefox. Additionally, the SerfSearch browser hijacker may start at boot-up as a background process and ensure its operations while your PC is turned on. The SerfSearch hijacker does not differ from its peers like iStartsurf.com and Astromenda.com and may show pop-ups with targeted marketing materials. You may want to remove the SerfSearch browser hijacker by using a reputable anti-malware instrument that can restore your control over your browsers and help you evade cyber threats linked to SerfSearch.
