Real Registry Cleaner
Real Registry Cleaner is a fake registry cleaner, which is distributed by adaptive Trojans, fake online scanner web pages, or fake video codecs. Fake anti-spyware programs like Real Registry Cleaner are meant to deceive Internet users into paying for its nonexistent full version. Once a Trojan bundled with Real Registry Cleaner has successfully installed on a compromised PC, it will modify system settings to redirect the web browser to a web page containing Real Registry Cleaner and overwhelm the computer with fake pop-up registry error messages and similar security alerts. Real Registry Cleaner will add a registry entry to enable it to run with every system start-up. The "unlicensed" version of Real Registry Cleaner will run a fake system scan that pretends to detect malware and registry issues. Malware warning pop-ups will appear when the scan has been completed. The pop-ups will prompt Internet users to buy the imaginary licensed version of Real Registry Cleaner in order to remove the supposed malware threats and registry problems that were detected. Keep in mind that Real Registry Cleaner is a scam! Do not fall prey to the Real Registry Cleaner scam. ESG's malware researchers recommend you use a reliable security application to remove Real Registry Cleaner from your PC as soon as possible.
