I had to boot to CD and a file manager program.

I finally removed this by deleting the above files and the files and directory:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Microsoft AData\*.*

I fell for it...I think it got onto my system when I went to HOME DEPOT or TARGET website...a popup popped up over the website stating I was getting something for nothing (or something like that...can't remember). I clicked on it and the fun began. Every time WINDOWS virus protect popped up, PERSONAL GUARD popped up on top of it, so I thought it was WINDOWS virus protection...gave them a credit card number, did what they told me to when I got their email...cut/paste those numbers onto my system.
I took my server to MICRO CENTER in VA..they told me about the scam and downloaded some virus stuff and cleaned the mess of 60 virus's off my system...#50.00...well worth it.
Personal Guard did not access the credit card, but I cancelled it anyway, along with changing passwords for all my credit cards, etc.
I also joined LIFELOCK for $99.00, and my wife for another $99.00.
A cheap lesson...could have been much worse.

BELOW IS THE EMAIL PERSONAL GUARD SENT ME. SPREAD THE WORD.

Doesn't matter... even when you delete all the files from the system, it reinstalls itself within seconds. I haven't figured out how to get it removed yet. Might have to reinstall the system disc.
