'Osterreichischen Polizei' Ransomware is created by scammers to pilfer money from innocent Internet users. 'Osterreichischen Polizei' Ransomware uses a bogus pop-up warning message, which is allegedly sent by the Austrian Police. A fake pop-up alert used by 'Osterreichischen Polizei' Ransomware claims that the computer system has been locked because the PC user has committed cybercrime such as downloading and watching forbidden content, sending spam email messages or visiting malicious websites. The misleading notification of 'Osterreichischen Polizei' Ransomware declares that a webcam embedded in an image is used to record the PC user's video and images to identify him. The scary pop-up notification used by 'Osterreichischen Polizei' Ransomware is created by a 'Police' ransomware Trojan, which blocks the affected computer system. In order to unlock the PC, 'Osterreichischen Polizei' Ransomware asks the victim to pay a fine of 100 Euro via Ukash. However, if the computer user pays the fine, he will not be able to unlock the PCs. The ransomware Trojan will still keep the computer completely locked so that computer user cannot even reboot it.
