The MetroHotspot Toolbar is another Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) created by Mindspark Interactive Network, Inc. that is similar to the Hotspot Shield Toolbar and the SuddenlyMusic Toolbar. The MetroHotspot Toolbar claims to "take the best sources for online classifieds and brings them all together into one place." The MetroHotspot application has versions for Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox that may change your homepage and new tab to MetroHotspot New Tab while the search bar redirects to myway.com search. Also, you should note that the MetroHotspot Toolbar might read your Internet history to help advertisers show ads suited to your interests. Additionally, the MetroHotspot program may detect your approximate geographical location and help affiliated advertisers show tailor-suited advertisements on Myway.com. Many users may elect to remove the MetroHotspot Toolbar from their PC due to the program being an unwanted add-on component for their web browser application.
