The MediaNewTab browser extension that is available for browsers based on the Chromium project may receive the attention of Web surfers that spend most of their time online at YouTube, Vimeo and Netflix. The MediaNewTab browser extension is developed by Imali Media Ltd. and is offered to users at Medianewtab.com or can be downloaded with freeware packages. The MediaNewTab extension promises users to optimize their experience with video sharing platforms and bring them the latest updates from Hollywood and Bollywood. However, the MediaNewTab extension is recognized as an adware and might welcome users to install badware like WinFix Pro and iLivid. The MediaNewTab adware may close your Internet browser when it is being installed and change your default homepage and search provider to Search.medianewtabsearch.com, which is a modified Yahoo search engine.
Computer experts note that the MediaNewTab adware may slow down your browser, temper with your download settings, and uninstall any third-party tools you might use to block ads. The MediaNewTab adware may use ActionScript to display interactive commercial content via pop-up windows, banners, and transitional full-page ads. Additionally, the MediaNewTab adware is a program that is designed to run on 32-bit systems and may crash browsers that are optimized for a 64-bit architecture. The ads by MediaNewTab may cover the native ads at trusted e-commerce portals such as Amazon and Best Buy and redirect users to less-reputable online stores. You should take into consideration that the promotions from MediaNewTab may have misleading information to encourage users to shop from partners and earn affiliate marketing revenue. Computer users might want to remove the MediaNewTab adware with the help of a trusted anti-malware tool and secure their Adobe Flash Player and online shopping.
