Gameo is a PUP (potentially unwanted program) that may encourage PC users to use its sponsored promotional website by saying 'Join the fun now!'. Gameo may declare that its website is the easiest way to discover and play free games on a computer. Gameo may spread and enter a computer as an optional program bundled with free applications that PC users download and install from untrustworthy download websites. After installation on a PC, Gameo may take over a Web browser and result in annoying browser diversions to unknown websites. Gameo may create and display intrusive pop-up advertisements and notifications that were produced with the aim to probably benefit from clicks on advertisements and increased Internet traffic. The pop-up web page of Gameo may encompass the 'Free Download' button, which, if clicked by the computer user, may enable the creators of third-party programs install more potentially unwanted programs or adware threats on the PC.
