The Facebook Message Virus is part of a series of Trojan attacks that target Facebook users. The Facebook Message Virus and its variants are commonly referred to as the Facebook Virus, despite being Trojan threats rather than viruses (unlike viruses, Trojans are not designed to corrupt executable files and cannot spread on their own). The Facebook Message Virus uses worm-like tactics to spread, taking over the victim's Facebook account and sending out spam messages containing an embedded link. Since the Facebook Message Virus will try to infect the victim's Facebook contacts, safeguarding your computer from this threat is not only a necessity to protect yourself and your data, it is also your responsibility to ensure that your friends and colleagues are not exposed to the Facebook Message Virus. A Facebook Message Virus exposure may compromise your private information, including data related to online banking and credit card transactions, making this a scary threat that may have important repercussions. ESG security analysts strongly recommend the removal of Facebook Message Virus with the help of a reliable, fully updated anti-malware tool.

The Facebook Message Virus Will Attempt to Spread to Your Facebook Contacts

The most common way in which the Facebook Message Virus spreads from one computer to other targets is by sending out Facebook messages from the infected account. These messages contain a social engineering component in the form of a text message meant to tempt a computer user into clicking on an embedded link. They also may contain a link designed to infect the victim's computer with malware. Variants of the Facebook Message Virus can also post on contacts' walls and attempt to friend certain Facebook accounts. To avoid the Facebook Message Virus, never click on unsolicited links received through email or Facebook messages, even if they come from a Facebook friend, unless you are absolutely sure of the link's contents and that your friend sent it personally.

Pay Close Attention to New Messages Before Clicking on Its Links

The Facebook Message Virus variant has been spreading on this social network for several years. The Facebook Message Virus sends out a Facebook message with an attachment containing a fake invitation. Clicking on the attachment installs several Trojans on your computer. These Trojans are designed to spy on your online activity and try to isolate passwords and account credentials. The victim may also be directed to a fake Facebook page designed to trick inexperienced computer users into entering their Facebook login information.

I have been receiving Virus FACEBOOK e-mail for weeks now from WIGGO KORSVIK. I currently have 14X in my trash bin! I never open them but as fast as I erase them he sends me more! up to 5X a day!

Can you get rid of this on your FACEBOOK system or block this Russian character or virus?
