When you download and install some cost-free applications, during the setup process, you may be asked to load the DailyRecipeGuide Toolbar. This browser addition is advertised as a helpful tool that should allow the clients to search for food recipes. Although the toolbar indeed includes a few buttons that serve as links towards food-related platforms, the presence of this program in your system is not advisable. This product is created by the notorious software developer Mindspark. Exactly as other applications by this company, the DailyRecipeGuide Toolbar is classified as Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP). The main reason for this allocation is the changes it may cause to all available browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer.
As soon as the users launch their preferred Web client, they will notice that their default homepage has been replaced. The new homepage is home.tb.ask.com, which is a low-quality search engine that should not be trusted. The results that this platform brings are manipulated, and a significant portion of them serve as sponsored links. The DailyRecipeGuide Toolbar also may insert a variety of advertising materials. They may come as pop-ups, banners, in-text ads, interstitial ads and sometimes even targeted videos. Their presence may slow down the whole browser, but the greatest danger concerns to their destinations. It is possible for some of these commercial elements to redirect you towards unsafe sites, so you should avoid them. Since random errors may accompany the removal process of this PUP, you should perform it with a powerful anti-malware application.
