Total Vista Security

Total Vista Security is a bogus anti-spyware application that is secretly installed onto users’ machines by Trojans. Total Vista Security displays misleading pop-up ads, security alerts and system scanners in order to trick victims into purchasing its full version. Should a victim click on any of the fake security notifications displayed by the rogueware, he/she will be redirected to malicious websites that promote the rogueware. Total Vista Security is unable to detect or remove any type of computer threat and it must be removed from an infected machine as soon as possible….

MyComGuard

MyComGuard is a bogus security application disguised as a legitimate tool. MyComGuard spreads via Trojan horses and is able to download and installs without a user’s knowledge. MyComGuard is unable to conduct any legitimate security software functions, therefore users should not trust any information displayed by it. MyComGuard conducts fake system scans and displays fabricated results.

MyComGuard also floods an infected PC’s desktop with numerous pop-ups, warnings and security alerts. Additionally, MyComGuard can redirect the web browser to malicious web pages that sell promote it. All in all, MyComGuard attempts to trick users into believing that their computers are infected and then it suggests that they purchase its “full” version. This is just another scam. Use reputable security software to kill the parasite immediately….

Smart Security is a bogus security application cloned from the notorious rogueware called Security Tool. Smart Security also known as SmartSecurity is also the name of a legitimate program from ESET Smart Security, so be careful not to confuse the two programs. Once inside a system, the malicious version of Smart Security will display fake pop-up messages, security alerts and system scans all indicating the computer is infected with different malware that can only be removed with the purchase of the “licensed” version of Smart Security. Do not believe any of the security reports displayed by Smart Security and have the rogueware removed from your system as soon as possible….

Control Manager is a fake security application that gives false reports of malware threats on a victim’s PC. Control Manager is from the same family of rogueware as Control Center. Control Manager is typically distributed by Trojans or it can come bundled with other malware. On installation, Control Manager will display a number of fabricated scan reports, security alerts and pop-up messages all reporting that numerous malware infections reside inside the machine. The victim will then be prompted to purchase the “full” version of Control Manager in order to remove all the harmful malware that was detected. Dr.Guard is a malicious program disguised as a legitimate computer security application. Dr.Guard is a clone of the rogue anti-virus called Paladin Antivirus. Dr.Guard can be installed onto a PC when using fake online scanners, visiting malicious websites or it may come bundled with other computer parasites. Once inside a system, Dr.Guard will conduct a bogus system scan and report false computer infections to make victims think that their systems are badly infected. Victims will then be prompted to purchase the “full version” of Dr.Guard in order to remove the fabricated computer threats. Windows Guardian 2010 is a fake anti-spyware program descending from the same family as XP Guardian and XP Antispyware 2010. Windows Guardian 2010 is installed into users machines by stealthy Trojans or it can be downloaded from malicious websites. On installation Windows Guardian 2010 will conduct a fake system scan that will detect a number of harmless file as harmful computer threats.
